Emmy Award winning director, Dan Hamilton, portrays astronomer "Cornelius Smith" in the hit BBC radio soap, Milford-Haven.

For the past fifteen years, Dan Hamilton has directed daytime television dramas, including As The World Turns and Another World, as well as numerous stage productions. Mr. Hamilton is the director of the feature film "Landfall," starring Francis Sternhagen.

As an actor, Dan has been a contract player on most of the major daytime dramas and has guest-starred on many prime-time programs. His dashing good looks and smoldering screen presence made him a favorite on American television, where he guest-starred on such programs as "Remington Steele," "Mike Hammer," "The Quest," and was a recurring star on "Dallas." He's a well-known romantic lead in daytime dramas as well, including "Another World," "All My Children," "Guiding Light," (Past Guiding Light Cast Site) and "The Edge of Night" (Dan's character). His film credits include "Romeo & Juliet" and Arthur Miller's "A Memory of Two Mondays" for PBS.

Dan appeared in over 120 stage productions ranging from Broadway and Off-Broadway to regional theatres and summer stock. His extensive theatrical performances made him one of the most popular actors in the U.S., on Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional stages, with roles in both ancient and modern classics. Shakespearian performances included co-starring roles in "Othello," "As You Like It," "Troilus and Cressida," "Hamlet," "The Tempest," "twelfth night," and "Merchant of Venice." Modern classics include "Long Day's Journey Into Night," "Private Lives," "Miss Julie," "emperor Jones," "Royal Family," "Man and Superman," View From the Bridge," The Crucible," "Orpheus Descending" and "Ring Around the Moon." And he has co-starred in several musicals including "Godspell" and "Beggar's Opera."
